Re: Gerths from Baden Baden, Germany

My Gerth showed up in the 1890's in Detriot.
His name Julius and married to Theresa.
For some reason finding any info on them
in MI is next to impossible. I'm pretty
sure they came from Pomerania. I'm also
wondering if you have thought about the
spelling. Goethe is pronounced as Gerth.
Most of their childern ended up in Chicago
and then onto various other points.
