the quote "Henry Geiswite married to Susan, his father was Abraham Geiswite ..." is incorrect. The connection is not proven yet, but plausible.
= Henry Geiswite, b. about 1800, probably died in Hartley Twp. between 1844 and 1850, was married to Susan (name unknown). Their son was:
- Joseph L. Geiswite, b. Hartley Twp., Union Co., Pa. 5 May 1844, d. White Springs 21 Mar 1929, was two times married, had 16 children, all siblings are on file.
Also, Henry and Susan had probably two daughters, this is still unsure:
- Hannah Geiswite, b. 1825, marr. about 1848 George Mitchell
- Sarah Geiswite, b. 1838
= Abraham Geistwhite, b. probably in Northumberland Co., Pa., about 1788, d. probably in Snyder Co., Pa., after 1850, married in 1820 or 1821 Mary Ann (Benn). The couple did have a son Henry, who was born on 9 January probably in the year 1821, but this Henry was married in Lewistown about 1845 to a Margaret A. Foltz (b. Dec. 1825, d. after 1900)
