Hi Carolyn,
Sorry about the email not getting through.I have been having trouble with that here lately...not sure why.I wasn't implying that this was your Randolph GIBSON for sure, but thought he "might" be your guy out on a lark for a couple of years or a related family member. As you know, these guys of ours had wandering tendencies, but most came back to Meigs Co. TN.It took the reconstruction period after the Civil War to get them out of East TN.
Yes...have tracked your Randolph Gibson with great interest as my family appears tied heavily into his family. As you probably remember, my Cash's next and with him and his Gibson clan from 1823-80 right there on the Roane/Rhea(Meigs) Co. TN border region. My Cash group also married into Jacob Gibson's line and are buried near them in Rhea Co.(father of these guys below....James I. Cash b. 1801 Washington Co. TN, according Betty Broyles compendium bought land "Ten Mile Ridge to Roane Co. line" ca. 1823".He hopped the border into what was left of Rhea Co. in 1836-7, but my guys stayed behind near the Gibsons of Meigs):

There are other Cash/Gibsons connections which are too numerous to go into.My GGUncle Reuben Cash b. 1860 Meigs Co. TN lived with your Randolph in Meigs Co. TN in 1880, and I suspect moved with him to near Bonham, Fannin Co. TX in the early 1880's.Reuben marries there to a Rogers and the rest of my Cash's also went there ca.1878-81. They cycled between Fannin, Hunt and Grayson for a time, but eventually went to Knox, Montague and Clay Co's.
Those figures from Cannon Co. TN(I believe they were noted in the first post?) were pulled off of microfilm by my cousin Louise Rogers who just went to Salt Lake. She is mailing me the copies. She is also a ggGrandchild of James Monroe Cash b. 1825 Roane Co. TN and Sarah Emiline Ford b. 1825 Rhea Co. TN and stems from the Clay/Montague Co. TX Cash group.
I will send you what I have on Microsoft Word Carolyn. Thanks for the response and will talk to you soon.Chris
