Alexander Gilchrist and Agnes Adair

I am seeking information on Alexander Gilchrist born June 13, 1757 In Scotland.Alexander married Agnes Adair probably in Scotland.Agnes died on June 9, 1843 and is buried in the Scotch Church Cem. West Charlton, New York.They had children, one of which was Elizabeth Gilchrist born in 1788. I have information on the Gilchrist family but am looking for anything on Agnes's family. Since I am having so much trouble maybe I have the wife's name wrong but have found references to a Miss Adair, and then some to Agnes. Anything to get me on the right track would be appreciated.
