Giles family Nova Scotia

This is the information I currently have on this.I am attempting to document, verify and expand.

My maternal grandmother was Alma Giles who emigrated along with her family to the United States through Detroit in 1913.Her father was Edward Giles who was wed to Lucia (Mary) Embree(y).Alma along with several of her sibligs and her parents re-located to Nebraska, where Edward's brother Joseph Giles was then living.Joseph was born in 1837 and according to census records from him, he emigrated in 1855.

I have other information on Alma and her family, and will be preparing that.My wife and I are preparing a non-commercial report of the heritage of our children/grandchildren.Any assisatance, corrections, documentation photos or records that you might provide would be most appreciated.We try to be as accurate as possible and rely only on primary sources and credible secondary sources as much as possible.Even though our project is non commercial, we also acknowlege the contributions of others in the manner they request.We would be more than happy to compensate you for your time and copies of any records, fotos scans etc that support or correct the information below as it pertains to our direct line (including the line of the respective spouses).
