Hi Jacqueline -- sorry for the delay.I left that weekend to do some research in Salt Lake for a week; unfortunately took ill, ended up in hospital for two weeks; I'm home now and on the mend.yes, Susan Gillies MacDonald was definitely an older sister of Donald Burton Gillies, and I am so happy to have found you, as relatives seem to be hard to find.Her parents were Neil & Jessie Gillies.Susan was born in Canada in 1858, moved to "copper country" Michigan at an early age, where she married John R.MacDonald in 1878; she died in Butte, Montana, in 1896(going by memory on this date).Susan was my Grt Grandmother.I hope we can keep in touch.I can be reached at barbqb@gmail.comThanks.
