Re: Glacken Allegheny County, PA Ogden
I'm not related to the Ogdens but the Glackens are tied into my family tree. My Great Great grandfathers brother James Meighan(from Donegal)emigrated to Pittsburgh approx. 1850. He was married to Bridget Glacken. Michael Glackens parents were also from Donegal. They were Michael Glacken and Margaret Meighan. There is significant circumstantial evidence (recorded and oral) to suggest that either Michael Glacken (senior) and Bridget Glacken were brother and sister or that James Meighan and Margaret Meighan (Michael seniors wife) were brother and sister or that both of these were the case (unfortunatley I have not yet found any vital records which can suppoort this). I came across the following reference during the course of my research - "baptismal entry - Charles Thomas, born 26 Apr. and baptized 27 May 1888. Parents: Michael Glacken and Maria Ogden. Sponsors: Thos. and Rosa Glacken."
I have a lot of records relating to the Glackens but it would take a while to find them all. I also have a Glacken tree based on the research that I'd carried out. It was done quite a while ago so it's not very fresh in my memory. When I find it I'll send it to you
