Mr. Jerry Tyree, 55, of Lebanon, passed away August 10, 2014, at his residence.
Jerry was born August 1, 1959 in Lebanon, a son of the late William Tyree and Laverne (Kinslow) Tyree. He married Rhonda Hale on Feb. 23, 2001. His wife and mother survive.
Jerry graduated from Lebanon High School. He was a welder all of his life. He was a member of the Whitestown Lodge F & A.M. Jerry loved fishing, wood working and metal working.
Survivors include his wife, mother, children: Nick Tyree, Anthony (Amanda) Hammond, and Jonathon (Amy) Hammond all of Kentucky, Venessa (James) Bishop of Frankfort, and Jessica (fiancé Travis Sample) Franklin of Lebanon; grandchildren: Abbigail Wethington, Jalyn Byrd, Macy Byrd, Carter Byrd, Landon Sample, Emily Hammond, Devin Glasscock; siblings Dorothy Jean (Paul) Kincaid of Lebanon, Mary Elizabeth (Jack) Maddox of Lebanon, Ruth Ann (Jim) Tyler of Lebanon, and William F. “Bill” Tyree of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend Dustin White.Jerry was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Tyree, mother-in-law Patricia Ann Hale; sister Evelyn Neese, brother James Robert Tyree, sister-in-law Barbara Tyree, and granddaughter Keiley Ann Ferrin.Jerry will be terribly missed by his dogs, Lilly, Lexi and Lola.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, August 13, 2014 for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and services will be held Thursday, August 14 at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Jerry will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
