hi kim i have just started research on my family and have discovered my grandmothers maiden name was Glasspool and also my great grand mother and great aunt also had the same surname they all three lived in the portsmouth area
my grand mother's name georgina wright Born 1907 (nee) glasspool lived in lee lane Gosport but lived opposite the large bakery when i was a child, my great aunt who never married lived with my great grand mother in flats in portmouth ggrandma was ellenor? Pitt (nee)Glasspool married to george Pitt date of birth unknown at present, great aunt lillian glasspool all born in portsmouth area i believe, maybe you could find out, lillian died in the sixties, hope this helps when i find out more i will let you knowclive
