I guess I did not complete the story. James M. was the father of George W., not a brother.

George was born April, 1869 and Bettie born Nov 1874. In 1900, they were in the "Stanton River District" (Staunton) of Bedford and had children James D., William W., Jesse, Fannie and Perry O.
