Re: Godinez family - Ocotlan, Jalisco

I had the chance to meet Fausto Garcia de Alba in Orange, Ca. yesterday for the first time.He is related to my husband Ramon Godinez.I have been searching the Godinez name for years with some good results.
My husband was born in Santa Rita, Ayo el Chico, Jal.
His father was born in San Joaquin, Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco in 1917.
His father, Juan GODINEZ was born about 1884, in Mexico.I have yet to find the acta del baptismo for him nor 4 of his siblings even though I know that they existed.Juan married Maria Felipa GUTIERREZ, born 4 Feb 1889, in Huascato,Degallado, Jalisco on 22 Sep 1910 Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico.
We had heard that the GODINEZ ancestors were from Michoacan and for a couple of generations, that was true.
My husband's greatgrandfather was Juan GODINEZ born in May 1863 in Ixtlan, Michoacan.His wife was Estefania DE LA TORRE from "Los Altos" de Jalisco. They wed 18 Feb 1882 in Toluquilla,, Jalisco.
My husband's 2nd GGF was Jose Teodoro GODINEZ born in May 1842 in Buenavista, Ixtlan, Michoacan.His wife was Paula TINOCO born 24 Jan 1845 in Milpillas, Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco.They wed 9 Jun 1861 in Ixtlan, Michoacan.
My husband's 3rd GGF was Jose de los Santos GODINES baptised 5 Nov 1809 in La Barca, Jalisco.He seems to have used the name of Santos.He wed Dominga Nepomucena GARCIA who was baptised on 16 May 1811 in La Barca.Their marriage took place on 25 Oct 1827 in La Barca.
My husband's 4GGF was Jose Franco. GODINES who was born (abt.)1788 in La Barca, Jalisco.He wed Maria Lugarda ZARAGOZA who was born about 1791 in Chilaca, La Barca, Jalisco.The wedding took place 4 Nov 1807 in La Barca.
My husband's 5GGF was Jph. Manuel GODINES born about 1747 in S.Palo, La Barca, Jalisco.He was wed to Maria Francisca Leonor SANTIAGO, the daughter of Lorenzo SANTIAGO and Maria Jpha. NABARRO.Maria Francisca was born about 1754 in Serrito de Buenos Aires, La Barca, Jalisco.
I have not done any recent Godinez work in La Barca.Instead, I have been working in the "Los Altos" area of Jalisco to find the ancestors of Estefania DE LA TORRE.So my current research is in Tepatitlan de Morelos and Jalostotitlan.If I can be of further help, please let me know.
