Re: Godinez from ocotlan

I have two generations of Godinez that were born in Ixtlan, Michoacan.They were Juan GODINEZ in May 1863 and his father Jose Teodoro GODINEZ in Mar 1842.Before that, many generations were from La Barca and further back from Ocotlan.My descendents from Juan GODINEZ were mostly in the Atotonilco el Alto area of Jalisco.
Perhaps if you get a copy of the 1930 Census of Ixtlan, you can find some of Salvador and Manuela's other children or relatives.Then you could look for their baptisms and that would probably lead you back to my Godinez lines.I have heard that Godinez is not a common name so probably all from this area of Mexico come from a common ancestor.
