The Mendenhall Family Assoc. has the parents of Joseph Franklin Good who married Mary Mendenhall as Samuel Good and Eliza Ann Hollis.
Moving on to George Washington Good. In Renova, PA. he had a wagon shop at the end of 8th Street by the river. In about 1890 the river flooded and took his assets. He went to work as a machinist for the NY Central Railroad in Lancaster, NY. There he met his wife, Louisa Eva Seeger. They had 2 sons - Clarence 1896-1904 and Harold 1898-1977. Clarence was a child prodigy and sang at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo in 1901. He died of pneumonia at 8 years and is buried in Lancaster Rural Cemetery, Lancaster NY. Louisa Eva Seeger Good died in 1919 in Detroit and was buried next to her son in NY.
In 1912 GW was transfered to Chicago. In 1915 he was sent to Detroit by the railroad. There he retired at 65. He died in Detroit in March of 1943. He had married later in life a nurse named Beulah. They met during GW's illness. We do not know the burial location for GW or Beulah. Terry
