Re: Mary Good (Grow)
I feel certain that Mary Grow Good, second wife of Nicholas Beery (1739-1811) was from Rockingham, VA not PA. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find direct evidence of her parentage. My recent brief efforts at Harrisonburg, VA Eastern Mennonite University Library were not productive.
We have to assume that Mary (1756-1840) could have been born either a Good or a Grow.
It is possible that the Grow middle name could be her mother's maiden name.
She could have been previously married to either a Grow or a Good.
If she were born a Grow, she could be a daughter of Peter Groh and Elizabeth S. Lang.
Too bad we cannot find a record of her first marriage.
Your note of Mar. 3, 2001 has a typo for Abraham Beery's birth. He was born 1762 not 1782. He did marry Magdalena Rife in 1786.
