I have been researching this Good family for about 32 years and the Robert Good you mentioned in your query is my GGG GF. I believe your information contains three errors. I also have a question for you.
First, I don’t believe there is any primary source that will substantiate the claim that Robert’s father was a John Thomas Good. True, there are secondary and third order sources that claim this but some don’t give any citations at all for proof and some others do give citations but the citations don’t check out. But worse than not finding an original document that substantiates the father/son relationship, I don’t believe a document consistent with this time period can be found that even contains the name of John Thomas Good let alone any relationship. It is possible to find some of my earlier research that shows that at one time I “claimed” John Thomas as Robert’s father but I always included a notation such as a question mark indicating that this information should be checked out-----well, it didn’t check out.
Second, documents exist that throw serious if not fatal doubt on Robert’s birth as ca 1760----he would be too young to have been a party to some of the documents dated, for example, in 1771. I believe Robert was born no later than 1750.
Third, the bible of Henry Good, as sworn to in an affidavit, gives 1829 as the year of William Henry Good’s birth----not 1832 as you show.
My question is: what documentation do you have that shows the birth of Henry Good as 1793? I can see how one can infer from the 1790 and 1800 census that he (as well as his brother Hugh) was born between 1780 and 1790---but how did you narrow the date down to 1793?
