Avis,I found Henery b. 1760 in the followind census reports on Ancestry.com.1790-Glastonbury, 1800-Glastonbury, 1810-Berlin, Orange, Vt under Henry Gadale.1820-Phelps, Madison, Ohio and 1830-Goshen, Champaign,Ohio. There is a page from an old bible posted by a "Haroldson" in Sept 2009 that looks like Mercy the daughter married Phineas more like 1806. They were married around Montpelier, Vt as you know, which is close to Berlin. I can't find Phineas and Mercy until 1820 when they are in Wayne, Champaign and by 1830, her father is in Goshen, Champaign, Ohio. My relative is Mercy,s brother, Henry. He had Joseph and Andrew in Ohio but I know nothing about his wife.Andrew was killed in the Civil War and Joseph had Amanda, my greatgrandmother. She was born on 1858 and by 1860 Joseph is raising her with a minister's family in Missouri. By 1870 he has remarried to another lady.Amanda had a bunch of children in Jasper County with John Wolff who came from Germany. John and his son, John, went to Coloma, Michigan around the first of the century and had a boat livery place on Paw Paw Lake. John Sr. died in 1927.Amanda up and left him around the turn of the century and went to Cleveland.I am still chasing down all the children and can tell you more if you are interested. If you have any info on Joseph's first wife (not Anne), I would appreciate it.Eventually, I will try to get to the Allen library or to northwest Indiana to see the cemetery where they are all buried. I hope that this is not all old hat to you.Joy
