I'm in the very early stages of tracing the Goodall side of my family. They lived with my great grandparents, Thomas and Amelia in Aston, Birmingham.Thomas was born c.1857 in Birmingham, Warwickshire; Amelia (I don't know her maiden name YET!) was born in Middlesex - they had 8 children - my grandmother was Mabel, b.1892 (she married George C Emerson); Edith b. 1880 (married Arthur Mills); William (b.1881, d.1907); Edmund b.1883 (married Emily Marshall); Frank b. 1886 (married Caroline ?); Annie b.1887 (married Herbert Marshall); Norman (later to become Rev. Dr Norman Goodall) b.1896 (married Doris ?); Albert b.1900.
Thomas and Amelia Goodall owned a "corner shop" - confectionery, tobacco etc - in Aston, Birmingham.
If anyone has any information or feels they are related I would love to hear from you.I do have lots of photos on my website and also a lovely chapter taken from one of Great Uncle Norman Goodall's books, about his early days living in a sweet shop!!
