this site below shows that an amelia co, va will for hans hendrick does exist.
i do not have a copy of this but there is info on this will in the hendrick files on line.
as indicated, hans hendrick lived in raleigh parish, amelia co, va.
below is also one of the sites where the will of hans hendrick of amelia co, va is cited, naming sarah hendrick goode as his daughter
this info says that this hans hendrick, II, was born ca 1690 and that he was married to someone named rachel by 1754, but when any of this info says that some one was married BY is NOTthe same as saying they were married IN 1754 or in the case of samuel goode and martha jones that they were married BY 1716 is not the same as saying they were married IN 1716.
if this hans, II, hendrick were born ca 1690, surely he was married a long time before 1754.
again, in lieu of having totally accurate dates, one needs to have some document or record as a reference point and then go back or forward from that and i would say use common sense in ones figuring.
i also would say, there is also a certain logic involved in family association.
for example,i will say again, per the laurens co, sc info i have posted, that this was hans hendrick, II's son, hans hendrick, III, who married margaret wynne and who moved from this halifax/ pittsylvania co, va area to laurens co, sc ca 1770 and who were involved there with patrick cunningham, whose wife ann harris cunningham was the sister of my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers and with my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers, children of my william harris,sr/ frances goode.
so, by association, it would certainly seem that this was my mackerness goode, sr or jr, as part of my goode line/ family, who would have been married to sarah hendrick, daughter of hans hendrick, II.
of course, i have cited the document wherein my goode family, including my mackerness goode, sr, gave these ca 1750lunenburg co, va depositions re my william harris, sr/ frances goode and this suit with william marable.
again, ialso cited the 1752 lunenburg co, va deed wherein mackerness goode and wife, sarah, sold land to this reps osborne, who, again, would certainly seem to have either been the son of thomas osborne and his wife elizabeth hendrick goode, sister of sarah hendrick goode or certainly related to them.
so, again, who was this mackerness goode, wife, sarah, in lunenburg co, va in 1752?
was this my mackerness goode, sr who by 1752 OR much earlier who had married sarah hendrick OR was this his son, mackerness goode, jr who had married sarah hendrick??
re dates, maybe, there are others interested in our goode family who can give pertinent info on when samuel goode was born; when he married martha jones; and when it is likely that their children were born.
again, the will itself only states that their daughters, martha goode and margaret goode, were under age in 1734/ 1735, so all the other children were of age.
what would have been of age in 1734/ 1735--------would this have been age 21 and older?
as you have indicated, surely most of the children of samuel, sr and martha jones goode were born some time before 1716.
