Queenie Easter Goode d/o James C. Goode and Martha Canady (Kanady, Canada)
I just found out this week that my great grandmother, Easter Goode's name was listed on an application for Indian money submitted by her sister, Rosley Goode Sheridan. We never knew the names of her siblings so I was very excited about this news, and even more excited to find the Native American blood on this side of my family. All I know, now that I have seen the application online, is that Rosley Goode was not admitted to receive anythingbecause her listed Indian ancestor, Nancy Alexander, was not listed on the treaty (which was not unusual, though). Does anyone out there have anymore info on this family??? Here is the way my line supposedly goes:
George Goode m Nancy Alexander (who they said was full blooded Cherokee) (some say could be Nancy Waters) Their son was:
James Carmel (carmal) Goode m. Martha Canady
Their daughter is Queenie Easter Goode (my great-grandma)
Easter Goode (1870-1918) m Henry Macon Westbrook(1866-1934)
Their daughter is Monia Inell Westbrook, my grandma,
(1893-1975) m. Spart Watson Mize
On Rosley Goode (Sheridan)'s application for tribal rights, she listed these other siblings and their residences also. (includes Easter)
Arlecy Goode: Banks County GA
Palona Goode: Habersham County GA
Mattie Goode: Banks County GA
Nancy Goode: Banks County GA
Dola Goode: Banks County GA
Easter Goode: Banks County GAmy line
If you want to see her online application go to google.com and put in a search for "Rosley Sheridan" and you should get a link right to it. Make sure you include the quotation marks.
Again, if you have ANY tiny piece of info or photos of Easter, or any of the rest of them, and especially the Native American ancestry, please let me know. My email is

Thanks a million!!
