The problem with the book by Mr. Williams is that he has my grandfather Abraham Goodell married to Relief Goodell living and dying in Charlton, MA. There was another Abraham that lived in Charlton and I believe he originated out of Davers and was a couple of years older than my Abraham. My Abraham is shown being warned into Woodbury, Vermont in 1806 along with his mother Sarah. His brother John also lived in Woodbury. I also found Eunis,Joshua,Daniel and Ruth. My Abraham was married to Betsy Wheeler. We never found John Goodell the father. I have tried Charlton Library and Charlton Historical society. Also tried Town of Sturbridge. I am therefore not comfortable with his lineage in Mr Williams book. I also wonder if John Goodell could have come from Danver along with everone else. There was a John that had a son David, but no wife is shown. Could John have been married to someone else before Sarah and she died in childbirth. Later David also shows up in Charlton. Really puzzles me as I can't seem to find any absolute proof of where John was born and where he died.
