Re: Timothy Goodenow/Sarah Willis
I'm trying to find out about the Timothy Goodenow who married Lydia Howe21 September 1752 and had daughter Phebe on Jan. 23,1753. [Lydia Howe went on to marryJohn Street in 1764 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.]
I've just received the following from the Goodenow Family database. You have probably been directly in touch. There would seem to be two Timothy Goodenows born about the same time?Otherwise Timothy Goodenow and Lydia Howe both married twice...Hope this is of some help.Email me direct if you don't have email for Goodenow Family Association--and if you have clearer info than I do.Many thanks.
I am the database manager for the Goodenow Family Association, and our information about Lydia Howe does lead us back to Thomas Goodnow and Jane Ruddick.Following is a brief recap of the descendency.
Samuel Goodenow, Sr. was the son of Thomas Goodnow and Jane Ruddick. Samuel Sr. was married to Mary -- , and one son was Samuel Goodenow Jr. who married Sarah Brigham and had David Goodnow (Goodenow Goodenough) .David and his wife, Dinah Fay, had a son Timothy born August 7, 1728 in Shrewsbury, Worcester MA.Timothy Goodenow married Lydia Howe and had a daughter Phebe.
