I'm trying to find out more about my maternal grandmother's uncle, John ('Jack') Goodfellow. He was born in the North-East of England, son of Thomas Goodfellow (b. Castle Sowerby 1855) and Mary Elizabeth Craister (b. South Shields c1859.) As you can tell, information is patchy, but I do know that he emigrated to Canada, and, according to an entry in my grandmother's autograph book, enlisted in the 60th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force for the 1914-18 war. Does this mean anything to anyone?
