My ascestor was a thomas gosling who was bornapprox 1766 in suffolk ,heenlisted in the 63rd west suffolk regiment of foot approx 17th june 1784. he was posted to Scotland and eventually married Janet Davie in Stirling 13th january 1793 and had 7 children that i know of.My name evolved from gosling ,goslins, gasland ,causland,gosland, and gossland. regards iain gosslandps iwas born in glasgow.
