Kathleen, You are about the age of my kids, (3 boys, 1 girl). We lived in Davis for 35 years while my husband was on the faculty at UCD; we went to high school together & have been married 57 yrs. He retired in 94 & we moved out of state. I took many trips to Boise, over the years, visiting my grandparents. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get to know your Goul family -- and sorry to hear that you don't have a relationship with your aunt. Maybe I can be liaison for the family. As I mentioned before, the family tree is listed in Ancestry.com. I have been doing genealogy for over 50 yrs -- love to connect with the past (& the present). The Internet has made it a different game entirely. My grandchildren lured me into Facebook; however, their reputation for selling info turns me off to using that venue. My Daddy inherited a quilt top that his mother, Mattie K had pieced together, looks to be from scraps of her apron material & she did kitchen duty big time when they had their summer lodge (an antiquated bed & breakfast) at Swinging Bridge. It has resided in my cedar chest for about 60 years, and I finally had it quilted a few months ago, turned out beautifully but I can't bear to use it, so back into the cedar chest. I have a few pictures that I can send you if you want to give your mailing address (send info to my e-mail address). Would love a picture of you.
Bonnie
