Does anybody have any imformation about emigration of any Gourds to Ireland in the 19th century or earlier? There don't seem to be too many Gourds in Ireland around those times, and it does not seem to be a native Irish name. Many of the later Gourds (at least in my line) were Protestant rather than Catholic, so I am thinking that they came from England rather than France. If anybody has any info on Gourds arriving in Ireland from other places, please let me know.In particular I am looking for the history of Richard Gourd and his wife Marion (Marian?) Robinson who may also be known as Mary.Thanks.
