Richard moved his family from Ulster Province, Ireland to PA when his sons William and Joseph were both small boys. They later moved to Rowan Co NC ca 1762. William married Margaret Graham in 1767 and they moved to Mecklenberg Co NC where they lived out their lives.

Honorable William Graham was a signer of the Mecklenberg Declaration of Indendence adopted at Charlotte NC 20-31 May 1775. William was a farmer throughout his life. In Mecklenberg. His will was probated in 1818, shows he had accumutlted much property in the form of land and slaves who were considered of great value. He was very intelligent and highly respected by all who knew him. He was a Rev. War soldier and fought in the Battle of King’s Mtn. Under Col Dixon.The British were defeated there on 7 Oct 1780. This town is located on I 85 in SW NC near the SC border.He was founder and Elder of the Hopewell Presby Church of Mecklenberg. He is buried in the Old Hopewell Church yeard and his tombstone bears thi inscription, “Sacred to the memory of William Graham, who departed this life July 17, 1818, aged 78 yrs. He was an affectionate husband and parent, an obliging neighbor and useful citizen. Life is at best a narrow bound that Heaven allows to men and pains and sins run through the round of three score years and ten.”.
His wife Margaret is also buried in the Old Hopewell Church year and her tombstone is inscribed “Sacred to the memory of Margaret Graham, Relict of William Graham, died May 12, 1821, age 71. Tho’ worms destroy my wasting flesh and crumble all my bones to dust, My God shall make my frame anew at the resurrection of the just”.

Jesse was an Ordained Baptist Minister of the Old Baptist Order (now called Primitive Baptist). Paster Graham organized the Sugar Loaf Church, near Sugar Loaf Mtn in Coryell Co Tx in August 1856 and Established the Rainey Creek Church in the same County in 1857.

Peter and Lydia had son Joel Blackwell (the 2nd) born 18 July 1822 Rutherford Co NC died on13 July 1862 Devall’s Bluf,f Prairie Co Ark. and was buried a that site during the Civil War battle. Joel volunteered 15 Jan. 1862 at Belton TX as a Private in Company D, 18th TX Cavalry, Col. N H Darnell’s Reg, Confederate.
Joel was captured at the Fall of the CSA Post near Searcy Co Ark. on 27 May 1862. Two officers and 41 enlisted men were also captured.
Joel died on 13 July 1862 as a results of wounds received in this battle. He is buried near Devall’s Bluff, PrairieCo Ark.
Joel (the 2nd) married Sarah Emeline Graham, the daughter of Jesse Abner Graham and Martha Jane Fannin on 6 Jan 1843 in either Jackson or Madison County,Ala.
Sarah was born 3 Nov 1828 in Princeton, Jackson Co Ala died 31 March 1908 in Copperas Cove Coryell Co TX, and is buried there.

Ivan Blackwell served in World War I in the U S Army, Troop A, 304 Cavaly, from 31 March through 31 July 1918 and , Division, Battalion, Camp MacArthur, Txfrom Aug 1 1918 through 26 Oct 1918. and Salvage Division, Quartermaster Corps, U S Army, at Camp McArthur, Tx from 27 Oct 1918 to his discharge on 4 April 1919, at Corporal, ASN 1120722.. Served in Civilian Conservation Corps from 2 Oct 1934 through 4 Oct 1934, discharged due to previous service connected disability in WWI.
Ivan was a sheet metal worker employed by the S H Lacy Co, in Dallas Tx in the manufacture, installation and repairing of cotton ginning machinery.
Ivan was also a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He served 55 years and was Master Mason in the Order.
Ivan and Lola had 2 daughters, Audrea Maxine Blackwell born 3 Aug 1922 Dallas Tx, died 28 June 2000 CA and Lois Blackwell born 16 Oct 1927 Dallas TX died 2 July 2001 Dallas TX.
