Many years on...
My interest in this Botetourt VA GRAHAM family, and that of Archibald GRAHAM and Margaret ?SHED? of Patterson Springs, Cleveland Co., NC is an autosomal dna match with descendants of each to a group of kits descending from my Cumberland, England family of GRAHAMs.
My GRAHAM page refers.

Very interested in hearing from anyone who has tested atDNA with any of FamilyTreeDNA, 23andme or ancestry, and preferably uploaded their data to GEDMatch for ease of comparison of results between these companies to see if we can add anything more to this picture of the autosomal dna of the matching GRAHAM families.

Even better, any Y-DNA results out there yet?

NB these days William's parents are given as James and Elizabeth GRAHAM, where the widowed Elizabeth remarried Thomas OGLE around 1719-21, and may have been nee Arskin/Adair or even Graham (this latter being from a reference that Alexander son of Elizabeth and Thomas was orphaned by age 4 and is said to have been brought up by "his GRAHAM grandparents" - presumably in New Castle Delaware - so who were they, as this implies Elizabeth OGLE previously GRAHAM was nee GRAHAM!
This post of the RWeb GRAHAM list refers:

PS I'm not convinced that William Barclay GRAHAM belongs to the family of William and Priscilla as some trees show.
