This may be your last chance to vote for the next clan Grierson Chieftain, in a very long time.

WHO CAN VOTE -

Any (Grierson to Grayson ancestor), or any Grierson, Greirson, Greerson, Grearson (or Grierson to Grearson ancestor), Greierson, Grier, Greir, Grear, Greear, Greer, McGreer, McGreery, McGrier, McGriery, Greery, Griery, O'Greer, or MacGregor/McGregor, McGrierson ; or anyone who is a member of a Grierson family/house hold, or anyone ... See Morewho is clearly defined as a Clan Grierson member, by historical precedent ; i.e., Grierson-Jackson, Hamilton-Grierson, Chilvers-Grierson, Work-Grierson, Whitby-Grierson, etc. Please see DISCUSSIONS for further surname combinations, recognized by the Shanachie-o-clan Grierson.

Every single nominee gets one vote from the outset, because every person is allowed to vote once for themselves, although they could not nominate themselves.

On the subject of who can vote, any of the ladies whose mother's, grandmother's were Grierson, etc., if you are married to a Grierson ; divorced from one, and still carry the surname, or have children with your Grierson partner, or if you consider yourself, and have stated that you are, a clan Grierson member. Example, the Lally girls, their mother is a Grierson, but even if not, they are directly descended from (Sir) William Grierson, of Lag, (9th Chief, 9th Lord), O-Lagg, and if they consider themselves to be clan Grierson, then they can surely vote in our election, although that connection was dead in 1629.
