Noah & Permelia Greene/Green

Noah Greene(d.Oct1909) married Permelia (b.1822). They had 5 sons & 1daughter. The first, William R., was born in Hamilton Co., IL on Nov15, 1843. His brothers were John Wesley, Perry Commodore, Louis Asberry, and George Melvin with sister Emma.
William R. m. Elizabeth Switzer on July 28, 1866. William had served w/ Co.B, 18th Iowa Infantry. They had 6 children: Eva, Nona, Noah, John, William H. & Cena.
William H. m. Carrie Brown from whom my husband's line comes down. Most of Wm.R & Elizabeth's line settled in or around Decatur Co., Iowa. Would be interested in hearing from other family members. The line probably was originally Green. I am unsure when the spelling changed and the "e" was added but believe it to be within the last 3-4 generations.
