There were several generals named Greene. Most of the family traditions try to link up to General Nathanael Greene, second in command to George Washington during the American War for Independence. General Nathanael Greene did not have a granddaughter named Mary.

Where and when was Mary born? With common names like Greene and White it is difficult to help without dates and locations.
