Dr. John B Martin's application for the Sons of the American Revolution in 1908; record #19762 lists his grandparents as Christopher Greene & Charity Perkins.He claimed that Christopher was the son of Gen Nathaniel Greene & Catherine Littlefield. There seems to be no other documentation of the parentage of this Christopher; his supposed birthdate may be after the General's death.

The name Christopher would be a logical name for one of the General's children, being named after his brother & a cousin Gen. Christopher Greene, who died during the American Revolution.
