GRISWOLD, CT is where my grandmother, Orrie Emily Greene was born Nov. 21, 1856.Orrie is the daughter of Benjah Samuel and Lucy (Gallup) Greene.Benjah was a cook in the Union Army, and some family say he was an officer.Orrie married James Whitcomb Moore in 1876 in Dunlap, Harrison Co., IA; and after Orrin Whitney Moore was born, they migrated to Oregon.I am Orrin's daughter and presently live in Illinois near St. Louis.Do you know the Greenes & the Gallups?
