I am a direct descendant from the Canada CHADSEY'S who I know are descended from the Rhode Island Clan.

My Great Grandmother was Isabelle Chadsey daughter of Benjamin and Marietta CLOSE CHADSEY.

Benjamin came out to California from Canada during the Gold Rush. He ended up in Los Angeles where he was a prominent builder.

I would love to connect with you on this line.

I have a very old letter to Benjamin from his sister Sarah Chadsey KING detailing some of the lines from her memory. She states there had been a fire.

Also a copy of the letter from Dr. Jeremiah CHADSEY asking all descendants if they would like to send information to him as he was putting together a genealogical account of the Chadsey's.
