Re: Family Member Greenhalgh Billingham

John Billingham was baptised in St Peters Bolton Le Moors in 1829, we are not sure where the Greenhalgh has come from as it appears later on and is also on his wife's death certificate. In 1841 John is in a school but the name is transcribed as Bellingham which keeps happening, so not sure if Billingham or Bellingham, Ellen is in 1841 in Salford as a boarding house keeper under the name Ellen Billingham, we are wondering if her and John's father were never married and her name was Greenhalgh?I am thinking now looking at this forum and may apologies for that , that I am in the wrong place, our family never emigrated and lived in Salford Manchester, I am sorry if I have posted wrongly.
