Comment: On 6 Oct 1822 the same day a James Gregory - not Frederick - was christened, a Jane Gregory with James & Jane as parents was also christened. A Jane Ferris b Gregory & her husband James W Ferris were buried in the same cemetery as Frederick James Gregory. In the 1850 N York census, a James W Ferris & his wife, Jane, have a 67 year old Jane Gregory enumerated with them.

Comment:On 1855 map of Brooklyn found Van Brunt corner De Graw located very close to the East River - next to that part labeled "Buttermilk Channel."De Graw was a very long street that ran north south thru most of Brooklyn.Van Brunt- a fairly short street- 4 or 5 short blocks- ran almost parallel to the East River.
