Hi Melissa,
Have you researched with the surname spelling GRISWOLD?

For my family:
12 GENERATIONS OF THE GRESWOLD FAMILY IN ENGLAND AND THE FOLLOWING GRISWOLD FAMILY IN AMERICA.
Geneation 1 through 11 spelled it GRESWOLD while in England and Generation 12 on spelled it GRISWOLD when they immigrated to the U.S.A.

from Cousin Barbara H.'s notes:
The Greswold Family first appeared during the reign of Edward II which was during 1307-1311.The first Greswolds to appear in records in Vol. II of the Feet of Fines 1284-1385 was: William, Son of Walter de Grousewold, Plaintiff, Walter de Grousewold, defendant.William de Grousewold was probably the Chaplain at St. Alphege in 1349.The Greswolds (Griswolds) who left England to go to the New World were: Francis in 1636, Michael, abt 1638, Edward and Matthew in 1639.

Sorry, I can not help you.
Jan
