I've been doing research for my friend on the Griswold and have been trying to verify parents of the following:

James Griswold b 11/4/1804 NYd 1/4/1884
Married Polly Robbins and/or Maria Corbin

Children
Issac H b 1840
Amos
Mariah
Laura
Miranda
Lucy

What I'm trying to do is verify the above James and his parents.What I've been given is his parents were
Jabez b 1780married Mary Pruitt and their two children were James & George.

With so many Griswolds and duplicate given names with each generation it makes for clarification really difficult.

I've wondering if your John that is listed could be the James that I have ????
