Josephine Griswold wife of Seneca

I am doing research on my family and your relative's names have come up. Let me try to get this out without it being too confusing. My great grandmother is Carrie Putnam Dodd born in 1885. She had a sister named Josephine born in 1883. After the death of their mother, Ellen Landy, their father, Nathan W Putnam, split the 5 kids up sending most to live with family.

Growing up my grandmother & mother knew Josephine Griswold to be Carrie's sister and referred to her as Aunt Jo. My grandmother also referred to Iris, Seneca & Josephine's daughter, as her cousin. I believe Josephine Griswold is actually Josephine Putnam Griswold, but I can find no record of her before she married Seneca abt. 1910.

Have any of you gathered anything in your research that could help me determine what Josephine Griswold's maiden name could be?
