MISS ANNA GRISWOLD
MARCH 26, 1897

Miss Anna Delia Griswold passed away at her late home, in the north part of town, on Wednesday morning, March 24, shortly after one o'clock. She had been a great sufferer and had been in a critical condition for several months. Medical aid and careful nursing were of no avail, and death came as a relief after the many weeks of illness.
Deceased was born in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1834 and came west when a girl. For many years she conducted a millinery and dressmaking establishment in this village, having come here in 1865, but for the past few years declining health had forced her to lead a more retired life. She leaves to mourn her death her aged mother, Mrs. Ewing, who resides with Mrs. T. Brockway, south of town, the only surviving sister.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence in the north part of town, Rev. I.W. Kimberling officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Chatsworth cemetery.
