The information you provided on Elizabeth is in fact what the records of The Griswold Family Association show, except they show Elizabeth m. Matthew BECKWITH in Apr 1688, and "Grissell/Griswold" b. 1691. However, if you have found a record indicating it was "Sarah" b. 1647, that definitely makes for some interesting questions.For one thing Sarah daughter of Matthew & Ann we show as b. 1656 m. 1677, Capt. Thomas COLTON.So does that mean there was "another" Sarah b. as the eldest child (Matthew & Anna m. 1646)?It would be unusual to have two children of the same name within the family, generally seen when one child died.
