exploring

Just trying to find some links to my family line.
I'm a real ameteur however and know little about my family.
My grandfather, George Edgar Griswold was born in 1888 in Essex, CT.He had three children.
A daughter died in childhood.Two sons, Norman E. (my father)
and George Alan were the other children.
Does anyone have ideas to help me pursue further?
