Re: Seeking Information on Andrew Grohol (updated)
recently got my great-grandfather's death date (May, 1941) from my grandmother's photo album and I
know for a fact that he is buried in Hazleton because they lived in the 1920's in Humboldt.
Some one found this information for me in the 1920's census and I am sharing that info here:
Their name is spelled Groho.
Andrew is 40 (probably born in 1879), born in Austria, immigrated in
1902, naturalized in 1915, is an engineer - electric motor.
Wife Mary is 25 (but could be 35 - that would make her birth year as
either 1884 or 1894), born in Austria, immigrated in 1902,
naturalized in 1915.
Son John is 9 (probably born in 1910).
Son Michael is 7 (probably born in 1912 - your grandfather).
Daughter Mary is 5 (probably born in 1914).
Daughter Anna is 3 3/12 (probably born in Sept or Oct 1916).
Son Andrew is 1 8/12 ( probably born in April or May 1918).
All the children are born in Pennsylvania.
This information was found in the 1920's census after someone did some research, I passed
this information to my uncle (who is the oldest child from my grandfather) and he confirmed it
that it was them. Michael, age 7 is my grandfather the rest of the children are my great-uncles
and great-aunts. I am seeking information on the rest of the children.
John married a Mary C. Gulas and had five children according to his obit, they are Mary,
Theresa, Elaine, Christine, Barbara, John, Jr. Mary married a Michael Labance. No other
information on any children.
Anna married a Stanley Bartosevich and had twin sons, Stanley, Jr. and James. James
married a Gail Frances Dallas in 1978.
Andrew Jr married a Regina M. Faleskie and had 5 children, Mary, Robert, James, Andrew,
Theresa. Mary married a Max Enama. Don't have any more information on the rest of the
children except for Mary's marriage to Max.
So if anyone recognizes this information, please either post a reply or email me off list. Thank
you for taking the time to read this and have a nice day/night.
