Hi, I just found this forum, and lo and behold, I found two other researchers right off the bat.
I am researching for my mother-in-law, Ethel Harlow Huband. Her parents were Charles Bernard Harlow and Eva Napier; grandparents were James Edward Harlow and Maggie Grow. Maggie was the daughter of: William Grow (1840) and Sarah F. Patterson (1847).
I found the following in 1850 Appomattox Co, VA census: Joseph Grow, 35; Eliza, 30; Lucy A., 15; Joseph H., 13; William, 11; Sarah F., 9; Clinton, 8; Isabella, 6; Susan, 2.
All these people were from Virginia, as my MIL, and my husband (Richmond).
I spoke with another Grow researcher via email this morning, who said that Clinton Grow was his ggg-grandfather.
Would love to hear more on this family. Thank you, Sharon
