Hi Crystal, the father of Sarah Patterson was William Patterson, bc, 1816 - per the 1880 VA census - Chesterfield County. He was living with William and Sarah Patterson Grow. I have accumulated quite a bit of information on these families. Maggie Grow Harlow was the grandmother of my Mother-in-law, Ethel Harlow Huband. Email me and I will send you copies of what I have.
