Adele, I am researching Reniffs of Massachusetts who migrated to Grundy/marseille Illinois.
I think a Chester and Daniel show up as purchasing property in Grundy in 1818. They are
from Framingham. My great, great grandmother Julia Reniff married in Grundy County.
There are only 5 Reniffs listed in the Illinois marriage directory-Lucius, (Jennie LLoyd) in Grundy, Emily Reniff to Newton Stannard., Grace Reniff to Bruce Cooper in Grundy, Hattie Reniff to Darwin Grow ( Groux??) in McLean ( went to Nebraska) Hattie once again to Orrin White in Grundy and Julia E to St. Clair Gum in Grundy.If you find anything , let me know.
I know that a Lewis and Lorenzo married Field sisters from New England and I think Lorenzo also shows up in Illinois.
