Hi,

I just discovered this forum a few days ago.

My father, J. FREDERICK GROW, was born in Scranton, PA, on 23 Feb 1910. His father, ALLEN JULIUS GROW, was born in Jenningsville, PA, on 29 JUL 1879. Apparently however, my grandfather's name in PA was ARTHUR J. GROW, whereas it was Allen Julius Grow here in Nebraska. A family mystery, so far.

My grandmother's maiden name was CORA MAE SHUMWAY, and she was born in Laceyville, PA, on 29 May 1884.

Does any of this connect with any other Grows in PA? I know very little of my father's background, and would greatly appreciate any information anyone might have on his lineage.
