Yolanda Lifter (e-mail: [email protected]) tells me that John Henry Grow's widow, Mary Catharine Hartley, did not remarry after John Henry Grow died in the Civil War, but she lived to a good old age.She is buried in McCune Cemetery in Liberty Township, Jackson County, Ohio.
The Catharine Hartley who married a Hiram Morris may be the Catharine V. Martin who married Alfred Hartley.
