Thank you so much for your immediate response, with so much detail.My husband read over your posting but nothing caught his eye other than Mt. Carroll, which he remembers Ira's wife talking about when he was a child.I will show this to Elaine Guensler ( my husband's sister) when she is in town.

Ira Guensler was somewhat of a mystery to the family (we do not even know if Ira was his given name).Do not have birthdate or death info-would guess that he was born around 1890's and we believe he died in the 1970's on the east coast of FL.
We know he lived in Hanover, IL - Jo Davies County-and married Vivian Straitt
and they had four children, only one of whom lived to adulthood.Vivian & the children are buried in Evergreen Cemetary in Hanover.Her two grandchildren areGordon andElaine.Gordon's son, William (age 14), is the last of the line.
