I was informed by a cousin in San Diego, CA that the heraldry of Britain contains two Coats of arms that are identical in make up. One is for the Guise Family and the other is for the Gist Family.I have found accounts that indicate that the Guise of France lost favor with the King and fled execution at the hand of same and changed their name to Gist in Wales.Can anyone verify those claims or can anyone totally debunk them.
