Horace Leslie Giliford
I have been working on my family tree for quite a number of years with only one road block....my maternal great-grandmother. Her maiden name was Anna Ruth McElfresh(not sure if this is correct spelling but it is what my mother has) Her first husband was George Silvis. She had 6 children by Mr. Silvis: George "Dew", Harry "Hack", Lill, Nora, Bess and Mary. Her second husband was Horace Leslie Giliford. My grandmother, Helen Ruth, was born to them in 1912. They are listed in the 1920 census: Horace Leslie Giliford(42), Anna Ruth (50), Helen Ruth (8), George Silvis (21) and his wife Frances (19). Other than this one record it was as if they were invisible. Since great-grandmother was 50 in 1920 I would assume that she was born in 1870. I would also assume that she married Mr. Silvis around 1898 since George Silvis would have been born in 1899. My mother used to visit them a few blocks from where she was raised in Turtle Creek, PA. I know that they are mostly all buried in the Murrysville Cemetary. I really, really would appreciate any little bit of information that anyone could give me.
